HSS is again pleased to announce the availability of grants to offset the cost of attending the annual meeting. Please see the description and eligibility requirements for each grant below.
Travel Grants

NSF Travel Grant
Description: The National Science Foundation sponsors these grants to help defray travel and registration costs for the HSS annual meeting. Only travel to and from the meeting is covered by this grant. In general, only airfare from US-flag carriers is covered by this grant.
Eligibility: Graduate students, recent PhDs (received within previous 5 years), and independent scholars who are either US citizens or enrolled at US institutions are eligible for this award. You must also be participating in the meeting in some way (i.e., as a presenter, chair, Society governance, etc.).
HSS Travel Grant
Description: The History of Science Society sponsors these grants to help defray travel and registration costs for the HSS annual meeting. Only travel to and from the meeting is covered by this grant.

Dependent Care Grant
Deadline: 01 Sep 2018 (23:59 EDT)
Dependent Care Grant
Description: The History of Science Society offers support up to $200 to assist delegates who require additional dependent care during the meeting.
Eligibility: Any graduate student, independent scholar, or recent PhD (last five years) who requires dependent care is eligible.
Donation: The History of Science Society is accepting donations to help support the Dependent Care Grant. Thank you to everyone who has already generously supported this grant.
